about

-------------------------------

For their second record “Vol 13 Mysterious Realm of the Sonnestube”, Space Age Sunset renewed their cosmic place by adding to their magical trinity some strange harmonics and percussion from deep down and aerial voices from afar.
Réka Csiszér, a jazz siren from the deep woods of transylvania and Baba Saidu Konaté, a master of percussion from the village of ouahgouya in Burkina Fasso were invited to join them on their musical journey.

In the heat of three summer nights the five musicians composed and improvised their brought along musical souvenirs in a very spontaneous and free approach. Those old fashioned one take sessions were captured on tape by Simone Bernardoni and Marco Guglielmetti in a magical place called the Sonnenstube, which many know as Ticino (Switzerland).

The result is a timeless record, which is a testimony of their love and celebration of exotica jazz. Often considered as an “under style”, this album is a hommage and their own modern take on this classic genre.
Many percussions, keys, guitars and bass, meet vocals and saxophone. A worldwide meltingpot, recorded live and tasty.
